Cocoa Village Playhouse is one of my favorite places. The building is charming and I have enjoyed many of their productions. I hope you enjoy my painting of this beautiful historic building.
Welcome to Art a la Carte. I am an artist who loves to paint landscapes, houses, interiors, historic buildings, still life subjects and boats. I accept commissions from people like you at very reasonable prices. Hence the name of this blog, "Art a la Carte".
In addition to watercolor, I also work in pen and ink and pen with watercolor wash.
The style of my paintings would best be described as somewhat traditional with strong notes of impressionism.
I have been painting for 35 years, but my devotion and love of watercolor arose from living in England in the early 90's. I studied under Alan Roe, one of England's best watercolorists and illustrators.
I teach watercolor classes on a regular basis in Central Florida. I love getting my students started on the road to creating fine works of art and keeping them motivated. In the process, I learn new techniques and contemporary styles. My paintings and my dedication to art continue to improve and I paint almost every day.
